Job Overview: Prime Partners, a leading electrical contractor, is looking for a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Avondale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical industry specifics for commercial work, primarily focusing on new construction and big box retail. The candidate should be capable of installing, testing, and repairing voice and data cables for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, terminate, and test voice and data cables (Category 5e, 6, and fiber optic) on commercial sites, mainly new constructions and big box retail.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for system layout and installation.
3. Capable of performing physical tasks such as pulling, placement, and termination of Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
4. Work with other team members to meet project deadlines, and ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
5. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to voice and data systems.
6. Maintain and organize tools and equipment, and ensure efficient inventory management.
7. Provide excellent customer service, address client concerns promptly, and maintain professional relationships with clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Voice & Data Technician or a similar role in the commercial electrical industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of industry standards and electrical codes.
4. Current AZ Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
5. Ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical manuals and schematics.
6. Excellent physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable working in various physical settings, including rooftops and confined spaces.
7. Familiarity with commonly used tools and equipment in the electrical industry.
8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
10. Must be willing to occasionally travel to surrounding cities for work.
