What You’ll Do as a Voice and Data Installer

As a Voice and Data Installer with Prime Partners, your role is integral to our success in delivering state-of-the-art communication systems across Cheyenne, WY, and its neighboring cities, including Laramie, Torrington, and Wheatland. Your Daily Tasks as a Voice and Data Installer

Installation and Termination of Low-Voltage Cabling Systems

Your day will begin with setting up and terminating low-voltage cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics. You will work on commercial construction sites to lay down the backbone of voice and data networks, ensuring that each connection meets our high standards.

Mounting and Configuring Network Hardware

A crucial part of your job involves mounting and configuring network hardware. You’ll handle equipment like patch panels, switches, and wireless access points. Ensuring that each piece of hardware is correctly installed and configured is vital for optimal network performance.

Cable Testing, Certification, and Troubleshooting

Once installation is complete, you’ll conduct thorough cable testing and certification. You’ll use advanced tools to troubleshoot and resolve any issues, ensuring the network operates flawlessly. Your attention to detail in this process guarantees system reliability and efficiency.

Creating Cable Pathways

You’ll construct cable pathways using raceways, conduits, and trays. This task requires adherence to building and safety codes, ensuring both functional and secure installations. Your work will support the structural integrity and safety of the network infrastructure.
