What You’ll Do as a Security Alarm Installer
As a Security Alarm Installer at Prime Partners, you’ll be at the forefront of securing our multi-year projects in Salem, OR, and surrounding areas such as Keizer, Dallas, Woodburn, and Silverton. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of new commercial construction sites. From installing to fine-tuning complex security systems, your day-to-day work is hands-on and dynamic. You’ll be the go-to expert in bringing security solutions to life.
Your Daily Tasks as a Security Alarm Installer
Installation and Programming
Your primary responsibility will involve installing, programming, and testing a variety of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. You’ll work predominantly in new commercial construction settings, ensuring that each installation is robust and reliable.
Wiring and Connections
You’ll run and terminate low-voltage wiring for alarm components, ensuring all connections are secure and meet industry standards. This task requires precision and attention to detail, as it forms the backbone of the security system’s functionality.
Troubleshooting and Optimization
On-site troubleshooting and adjustments will be a regular part of your day. You’ll need to optimize system performance, ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. Your problem-solving skills will be essential here, as you’ll address any issues that arise swiftly and effectively.
End-User Training and Support
An important aspect of your role involves training end-users on how to operate the security systems you’ve installed. Providing ongoing support to clients will ensure they feel confident and secure with their new systems.

What You Need to Be a Security Alarm Installer
To excel in this role, you should have at least 2+ years of experience in the field as a Security Alarm Installer. Your hands-on abilities will be vital, with must-have skills including:
- Experience with Low-Voltage Systems: Proven expertise in installing and configuring low-voltage security systems and wiring is essential.
