As a Field Operations Fire Alarm Designer at Prime Partners, you will play a crucial role in our project management environment, focusing on the design and implementation of fire alarm systems for diverse projects. Your expertise will ensure that our fire alarm systems are designed to meet all safety regulations and standards, providing peace of mind to our clients and safeguarding their assets. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver innovative solutions that are both efficient and effective.

Essential Functions

• Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of fire alarm systems for various projects, including new construction, tenant improvements, and renovations.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all fire alarm designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including NFPA standards.
• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert advice on fire alarm system design and installation.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of fire alarm system designs and modifications, ensuring that all reports are accurate and up-to-date.
• Certification Maintenance: Stay current with required certifications, including NFPA 1042 and NFPA 1041, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced fire alarm software and design tools to create detailed and precise system layouts.
• Installation Oversight: Oversee the installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring that all components are correctly installed and functioning properly.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the design and installation process to ensure the highest standards of safety and functionality are met.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience, specifically in the design and installation of fire alarm systems.
• Licensure: Valid electrical license for the state of Oregon.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with fire alarm software and fire alarm design software.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including lifting equipment and working in various environmental conditions.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to fire alarm systems and electrical installations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neighboring Cities: Keizer, Turner, Independence, and Monmouth
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours and occasional overtime as required by project demands.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $40.2 - $46.76 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
