What You’ll Do as a Security Alarm Installer at Prime Partners

As a Security Alarm Installer at Prime Partners, you’ll play a crucial role in safeguarding our construction projects in Inglewood and the surrounding areas, including Hawthorne, Culver City, and El Segundo. Your primary mission is to ensure that each site is equipped with robust security systems that protect our assets and personnel. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, from new commercial constructions to expansions of existing facilities, ensuring that each site is fortified with state-of-the-art security measures.

Your Daily Tasks as a Security Alarm Installer

Install and Configure Security Systems

Your day will start with reviewing the day’s tasks and plans. You’ll be responsible for installing, programming, and testing security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection devices. Your expertise will ensure these systems are seamlessly integrated into the construction sites.

Run and Terminate Low-Voltage Wiring

You’ll run and terminate low-voltage wiring for alarm components, ensuring that connections are secure and comply with design specifications. This involves working closely with the project team to synchronize your installations with other on-site activities.

Conduct On-Site Troubleshooting

Part of your role involves troubleshooting and making necessary adjustments to optimize system performance. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to quickly solve problems as they arise.

Train and Support End-Users

You’ll train end-users on how to operate the security systems effectively. Providing ongoing support and answering any questions is crucial to ensure the systems remain functional and reliable.

Coordinate with Project Teams

You’ll coordinate with other members of the project team to ensure that installations meet design specifications and deadlines. This might include liaising with contractors, electricians, and project managers to ensure smooth operations.

Additional Daily Activities

What You Need to Be a Security Alarm Installer

Experience and Skills Required

To excel in this role, you need at least 2+ years of experience in installing low-voltage security systems. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting access control and surveillance systems is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to train clients effectively, are must-haves.
