IT Systems Administrator Position Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Core IT Systems Administrator Responsibilities

Enterprise IT Infrastructure Management

You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a robust enterprise IT infrastructure that includes servers, virtualization platforms like VMware, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and VoIP systems. Daily tasks involve system monitoring, patch management, user account administration, and ensuring system reliability, uptime, and security compliance.

Advanced Technical Duties

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 4 years as an IT Systems Administrator
• Extensive experience managing Windows Server environments, VMware, and Active Directory

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage medium-scale commercial environments

Essential Certifications

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Technical Knowledge
