Industrial Electrician at Passion Electric
Passion Electric is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in Savannah, GA. Known for its historic charm and vibrant culture, Savannah is surrounded by neighboring cities such as Pooler, Garden City, and Richmond Hill. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical integrity of our automated manufacturing processes, specializing in automation and process control. This role is essential to maintaining the reliability of our systems and supporting continuous production in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Commission automated production lines and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
- Implement predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis and thermal imaging to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
- Design and install complex motor control circuits tailored to specific production needs.
- Manage electrical spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components to minimize downtime.
- Train apprentices on industrial systems, fostering skill development and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for complex repairs, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
- Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Perform power quality analysis and implement harmonic mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with local utilities to ensure compliance with regional electrical codes and standards specific to Georgia.
- Support local community initiatives by participating in Savannah’s industrial safety and sustainability forums.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced certification in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, with proven expertise in these systems.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP and Profibus.
- Proficiency in VFD programming and troubleshooting to support variable speed applications.
- Expertise in using thermal imaging and vibration analysis equipment for predictive maintenance.
- Ability to read and create AutoCAD electrical drawings, facilitating accurate design and documentation.
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming to support process visualization and control.
- Proven leadership skills to effectively supervise maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of IEEE standards for industrial power quality to ensure optimal system performance.
- 5+ years of experience required for Journeyman work in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with Savannah’s industrial landscape and regional compliance requirements.
- Active participation in local industrial electrician networks or associations in the Savannah area.
