Position Overview

The Maintenance Controls Electrician at TEC Electric will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and components. This role involves troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with team members to support the efficient operation of our clients’ facilities.

Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including controls and automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on projects to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Relevant certifications in electrical systems and controls.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in advanced electrical systems or controls.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and other automation technologies.
• Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic and testing software/tools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Savannah, GA.
• Service area includes the surrounding metropolitan area.
• Full-time position with regular business hours; may require overtime or on-call work.
• Occasional travel to client sites within the service area.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.27-$43.02 per hour, commensurate with experience.
