Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician at Passion Electric, you will:

• Assist with the installation of commercial electrical systems, focusing on power distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
• Learn and apply conduit bending and installation techniques for both EMT and rigid conduit.
• Help with wire pulling and termination within electrical rooms, ensuring accurate and safe connections.
• Support panel installation and circuit identification, gaining a thorough understanding of electrical layouts.
• Assist with lighting fixture installation and controls programming, learning the intricacies of advanced lighting systems.
• Learn the basics of building automation systems to enhance building efficiency and safety.
• Help with emergency lighting installation and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain material inventory and job site organization, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand and properly stored.
• Document daily work progress to track project developments and maintain clear communication with the team.
• Operate aerial lifts and scaffolding under supervision, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints to understand project requirements and layouts.
• Additionally, given Mobile’s proximity to the Gulf Coast, you’ll learn about unique regional electrical codes and standards related to hurricane preparedness and moisture-resistant installations.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for the Commercial Apprentice Electrician position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
