Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level security systems tailored to client needs, ensuring the integration of video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
• Configure IP camera networks, including VLANs and QoS settings, to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Program and manage access control databases and credential management systems to ensure secure and efficient operations.
• Install and maintain biometric security devices to enhance security measures.
• Configure and manage cloud-based security platforms for remote monitoring and management.
• Perform regular system health monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Integrate security systems with building automation for streamlined operations.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect security networks from threats.
• Maintain detailed system documentation and drawings for accurate record-keeping and future reference.
• Provide end-user training on system operation, ensuring clients can effectively use their security systems.
• Collaborate with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with West Virginia state security regulations.
• Offer technical support and troubleshoot security systems in Charleston and surrounding areas.
• Participate in community safety initiatives and partnerships in Charleston to promote awareness and education.

Required Qualifications

• ESA Level 1 certification and CompTIA Security+ preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise video management systems and a strong understanding of IP networking and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in access control database management and experience with biometric security systems.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards to support complex installations.
• Proven customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and resolve issues.
• Clean background check with the ability to obtain government clearance, if required.
• 1-3 years of experience in security work within a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with local Charleston security needs and challenges.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours support for system maintenance.
