Position Overview at MMR Group

The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in office buildings throughout Menlo Park, CA, and surrounding areas. The role requires hands-on experience with various systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech

• Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in office buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct system inspections and provide detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with local safety codes and standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.

Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at MMR Group

• 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Notifier Certification.
• Experience with Edwards EST Systems and Simplex Systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: OSHA 10.
• Experience with Fire-Lite Systems.
• Specialized experience in office building projects.
• Proficient with hand and power tools used in fire alarm system installation.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Menlo Park, CA.
• Additional locations: Palo Alto, Redwood City, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and surrounding areas.
• Schedule: Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed.
