Commercial Electrician at M3 Technology

M3 Technology, located in Concord, NC, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Security Systems Specialist to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in designing and implementing enterprise-level integrated security solutions that ensure the safety and security of our clients’ assets. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of security infrastructure, including surveillance systems, access control, and intrusion detection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, cybersecurity, and system programming. Our projects span the greater Concord area, including neighboring cities such as Kannapolis, Harrisburg, and Charlotte. This position requires eligibility for government clearance and involves some after-hours support to accommodate maintenance windows.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain commercial security systems in various settings across the Concord area.
• Program access control systems and surveillance equipment to meet enterprise security standards.
• Configure IP camera networks and VLANs to optimize surveillance capabilities.
• Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect security networks from potential threats.
• Manage and maintain credential databases to ensure secure and efficient access control.
• Coordinate with IT teams for seamless network integration of security systems.
• Supervise the installation of biometric devices to enhance security measures.
• Perform routine system health monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Document system configurations and maintain comprehensive records of all installations and configurations.
• Train end users on the operation and management of security platforms to ensure proper usage and compliance.
• Maintain detailed testing records to facilitate system troubleshooting and future enhancements.
• Integrate security systems with building automation systems for improved efficiency and control.
• Collaborate on the upcoming Concord Transit Center security project, ensuring it meets all regional security regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Security+ certification is preferred to demonstrate a commitment to security excellence.
• Extensive experience with Video Management System (VMS) platforms to support complex surveillance needs.
• Proven expertise in access control systems, demonstrating the ability to manage and troubleshoot these systems effectively.
• Demonstrated ability with IP networking, including a strong understanding of VLANs, QoS, and network protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive information and systems.
• Certification in security system programming to ensure precise and effective system setup.
• Strong IT and database management skills to support enterprise-level security architecture.
• Experience with enterprise security architecture to plan and implement large-scale security solutions.
• Clean background check required to meet government clearance eligibility.
• 3-5 years of experience required for Journeyman work in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with North Carolina building and security codes is essential for compliance.
• Local knowledge of Concord’s infrastructure and security needs is advantageous.
