Retail Cable Technician Role Overview

As a Retail Cable Technician at Jackson Electric, you will be integral to our commercial projects team. This role is vital in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cable systems in commercial environments. Essential Functions

• Installation and Maintenance: Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems in various commercial settings including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of Basic Electrical Safety and BICSI standards to execute projects efficiently and safely.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including First Aid/CPR and OSHA 10 standards, to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve cable-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of facilities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on commercial environments.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid electrical license for the state of North Carolina.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Basic Electrical Safety and knowledgeable about BICSI standards.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in electrical work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR Certification: Additional certification in First Aid/CPR is highly desirable.
• Commercial Experience: Prior experience working on commercial projects is advantageous, providing a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in such environments.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Concord, NC, with proximity to neighboring cities such as Kannapolis, Huntersville, Charlotte, and Harrisburg.
• Schedule: This is a full-time position, offering a consistent work schedule with opportunities for overtime based on project demands.

• Pay Range: Competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.42 to $25.81, depending on experience and qualifications.
