Security Technician at Integra Electrical

Integra Electrical, based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled Data Center Infrastructure Technician specializing in critical facility cabling. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of structured cabling systems, fiber optics, and data center standards. The position requires expertise in high-density installations, testing procedures, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The successful candidate will work on projects across Raleigh and neighboring cities such as Durham, Cary, and Chapel Hill.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and certify structured cabling systems in mission-critical environments.
• Perform fiber optic terminations and testing with precision.
• Implement efficient data center cable management practices.
• Coordinate and install pathway systems to meet project specifications.
• Maintain and adhere to clean room protocols during installations.
• Operate and manage cable certification equipment effectively.
• Install and manage overhead cable tray systems.
• Document testing results, maintain warranty records, and ensure compliance with data center standards.
• Perform high-density rack cabling and maintain hot aisle/cold aisle separation.
• Ensure compliance with North Carolina-specific regulatory standards.
• Support the upcoming “Raleigh Tech Hub” project, a large-scale data center initiative.

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 certification required.
• Demonstrated experience with structured cabling systems and fiber optic installation.
• Proficiency with cable testing equipment and data center infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience with technical documentation and TIA standards.
• Ability to read and create detailed cable drawings.
• 1-3 years of experience in security work within a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations specific to Raleigh.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
