Position Overview at Convergint
The Cable Technician will play a crucial role in supporting office building projects in Raleigh, NC, and surrounding areas. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cabling systems to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across various projects.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems in office buildings.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of cabling infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Adhere to Convergint’s safety standards and protocols during all installations and repairs.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Convergint
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Proven experience with Cable Management Systems and Cable Testers.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Advanced experience with Cable Management Systems.
- Specialized experience in office building projects.
- Proficiency with industry-specific tools and equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Raleigh, NC.
- Additional locations: Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.2-$33.1 per hour.
