Key Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm control panels and associated devices.
• Pull and terminate fire alarm cable ensuring compliance with local standards.
• Mount notification appliances and initiation devices with precision.
• Assist with system programming and perform thorough system testing.
• Maintain detailed documentation of point-to-point wiring.
• Coordinate effectively with other trades for optimal device placement.
• Conduct pre-wire and trim-out phases efficiently.
• Install conduit and cable pathways to meet project specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system wiring issues promptly.
• Maintain proper color coding and labeling for system integrity.
• Assist with final testing and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to regional requirements and building codes specific to Oregon.
• Participate in the installation of the upcoming Beaverton Central Complex project, a significant development in the area.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial fire alarm system installations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 72 requirements and fire alarm circuit types.
• Experience with basic programming and use of multimeter and testing equipment.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in documentation and wiring tasks.
• Capability to perform voltage drop calculations accurately.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and other trades.
