Cable Tech Lead at AVI SPL

Position Overview

AVI SPL is seeking an experienced Cable Tech Lead for our Beaverton, OR location. This role primarily operates in the Second Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) within the healthcare environment - hospitals, medical centers, and clinics. The Cable Tech Lead will work across multiple project teams, traveling within 30 miles of their home base. Our ideal candidate has a safety-focused approach and is prepared to manage all matters related to cable and network technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate cable installation and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure technically efficient and safe operations by enforcing compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform testing procedures using network analysis, cable certification, and OTDR testing.
• Collaborate with multiple project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Travel within 30 miles of home base for on-site duties.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the cabling field, preferably within the healthcare environment.
• Must possess BICSI Technician and RCDD certifications.
• Skilled in using tools and technology like network analysis, cable certification, Fluke Networks, and OTDR testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a safety-first approach.

• Previous experience in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
