Key Responsibilities

• Design and install complete electrical systems to meet project specifications, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Accurately calculate load requirements and ensure that all electrical components are properly sized and installed to meet project needs.
• Coordinate with BIM (Building Information Modeling) teams to integrate electrical designs into comprehensive building plans, ensuring seamless execution across disciplines.
• Supervise installation crews, providing clear instructions and direction to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
• Implement advanced lighting control systems, enhancing energy efficiency and occupant comfort in new buildings.
• Manage project material logistics, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of electrical components to various job sites.
• Perform system commissioning, verifying that all electrical systems function correctly and meet project specifications before handover.
• Install and test emergency power systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with HVAC, plumbing, and other building services.
• Program building automation interfaces, streamlining building operations and improving energy management.
• Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
• Work on the upcoming “Madison Gateway Project,” a large-scale commercial development that will require innovative electrical solutions and extensive collaboration with multiple trades.
• Ensure compliance with Wisconsin-specific regulations, including those pertaining to energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Engage with local community stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and energy-efficient solutions in the Madison area.

Required Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical license, with a strong foundation in electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Experience with BIM coordination, including the ability to read and interpret complex building plans.
• Expertise in lighting controls, with a proven track record of implementing energy-efficient solutions.
• Proven project management skills, able to oversee large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Certification for multiple lift types, ensuring safe operation of heavy equipment on job sites.
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding and motivating a diverse team of professionals.
• Knowledge of energy codes and building automation systems, with a commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
• Demonstrated safety management skills, prioritizing the health and well-being of all team members.
• 0-3 years of experience required for Apprentice work in a commercial setting, with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
• Familiarity with the specific electrical codes and regulations in Madison, ensuring compliance and best practices.
• Ability to work in diverse weather conditions typical of the Madison area, including cold winters and humid summers.
