Cable Technician at Helix Electric

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Cable Technician for our Raleigh, NC location at Helix Electric. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Cat5e/6/6A installation, fiber optics, and cable certification testing. Adept at using Fluke testing equipment, the candidate will have significant experience in managing cable systems. With a BICSI Installer 2, OSHA-10, and Network+ certifications, the candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of structured cabling standards, blueprint reading, and documentation practices.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Cable Technician.
• Proven expertise in Cat5e/6/6A installation and fiber optics.
• Proficiency in cable certification testing.
• Experience with Fluke testing equipment and cable management systems.
• BICSI Installer 2, OSHA-10, Network+ certifications.
• Comprehensive understanding of structured cabling standards.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and documentation practices.
• The ability to travel to neighboring cities such as Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, and Wake Forest for assignments.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working with a team of technicians.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving cable system issues.
• Familiarity with latest industry trends and advancements in cable technology.

Salary and Benefits
