Overview of Apprentice Electrician Role

As an Apprentice Electrician at Helix Electric, you will be an integral part of our commercial project team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside seasoned professionals to support the electrical needs of various commercial projects.

Electrician Requirements

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings.
  • Support senior electricians in project planning and execution.
  • Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Utilize Basic AutoCAD for schematic reading and project layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

• Required Certifications:

  • Lift Certification
  • OSHA 10

• Experience and Skills:

  • 1-2 years of electrical experience, particularly in commercial environments such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
  • Valid electrical license for North Carolina.
  • Proficiency in Basic AutoCAD and OSHA 10.
  • Basic First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Basic First Aid/CPR.
• Proven track record in commercial project environments.

• Primary Location: Charlotte, NC
• Neighboring Cities: Concord, Gastonia, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Matthews
• Schedule: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.6-$27.86 per hour, depending on experience
