Requirements for Retail Apprentice Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial projects.
• Work closely with journeyman electricians to learn best practices and techniques for electrical installations.
• Perform basic wiring, conduit bending, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on all project sites.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Certifications and Experience

• Must possess a valid State Trainee Card and First Aid/CPR certification.
• 1-2 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in using digital multimeters, particularly Fluke models.
• Familiarity with conduit benders, both manual and electric.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Alabama.
• Solid understanding of basic first aid and CPR procedures.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
• Strong safety knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience using conduit benders (manual and electric) in commercial projects.
• Experience working on commercial projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Birmingham, AL
• Neighboring Cities: Hoover, Homewood, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Bessemer, and Trussville.
• Schedule: Full-time, with opportunities for overtime based on project needs.
