Position Overview at HCI Systems

The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, with a focus on healthcare facilities in San Francisco, CA, and neighboring cities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ facilities. The Security Technician will work closely with project managers and other team members to deliver high-quality security solutions.

Requirements for Security Technician

  • Key responsibilities for Security Technician at HCI Systems:

    • Install, configure, and maintain security systems including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
    • Conduct site assessments and recommend security solutions based on client needs.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security system issues.
  • Low voltage cabling installation for Security Technician:

    • Install and terminate low voltage cabling for security systems.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
    • Perform testing and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling.
  • Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Security Technician:

    • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, such as drills, wire strippers, and multimeters.
  • Daily tasks:

    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of security systems.
    • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
    • Document installation and service activities accurately.
  • Project involvement:

    • Participate in the planning and execution of security system projects for healthcare facilities.
    • Coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.

Qualifications for Security Technician at HCI Systems

  • 2-4 years of experience in security system installation and maintenance.
  • Required certification: OSHA 10.
  • Experience with CCTV Systems, Network Security Tools.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certification: ESA Level 1 Certification.
  • Experience with Access Control Systems.

Location & Schedule

  • Primary location: San Francisco, CA.
  • Additional locations: Oakland, Berkeley, Daly City, San Mateo.
  • Schedule: Full-time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $30.42-$37.22 per hour.
