The Data Center Cable Tech role at HCI Systems involves working on educational institutions projects in Fountain Valley, CA, and neighboring cities. The position requires a skilled technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center cabling systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless connectivity and robust infrastructure for educational facilities.

Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech

• Install, maintain, and repair data center cabling systems, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
• Perform daily inspections and tests to ensure system integrity and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute projects within established timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Document all installations, maintenance, and repairs accurately for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.

Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at HCI Systems

• 3-6 years of experience in data center cabling or a related field.
• Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
• Experience with Corning Fiber Systems and Fluke Testing Equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: BICSI Data Center Design.
• Extensive experience with Corning Fiber Systems.
• Specialized experience in educational institution projects.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Fountain Valley, CA.
• Additional locations: Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Irvine, and Tustin.
• Schedule: Full-time with occasional overtime as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $29.85-$35.41 per hour.
