Job Title: Solar Panel Installer Location: El Centro, CA Company: Greenskies Solar

Job Description: Greenskies Solar is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, and we are seeking experienced and entry-level Solar Panel Installers for our operations in El Centro, CA. Our Installers will be responsible for the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems on new construction sites and solar farms.

Responsibilities:

1. Assemble, install or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics.
2. Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with solar installations.
3. Measure and cut paneling, structural framing, and other materials to fit locations.
4. Configure PV modules, racks, and support structures as per design specifications.
5. Install required electrical service equipment, wiring, and electronic devices ensuring proper functioning of solar systems.
6. Perform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance and troubleshoot problems.
7. Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of electrical and solar energy systems.
3. Experience with hand-held and power tools.
4. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
5. Ability to work in extreme environments (heat, snow, rain, wind, etc.).
6. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; ability to climb, pull, and carry heavy objects.

Preferred Certifications:

1. NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification is a plus.
2. OSHA 10-hour Construction safety certification or equivalent is a plus.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
2. Experience using electrical installation tools (wire strippers, voltage testers, etc.)
3. Knowledge of solar-specific installation tools is a plus.

Safety Requirements:

1. Strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
2. Must wear personal protective equipment at all times.
3. Regularly inspect equipment and tools for safety and functionality.
