Key Responsibilities

Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, commission automated production lines, and perform root cause analysis on system failures. Implement predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis and thermal imaging. Design and install complex motor control circuits, manage electrical spare parts inventory, and train apprentices on industrial systems. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for complex repairs and develop standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks. Perform power quality analysis and harmonic mitigation. Collaborate with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with Minnesota’s unique electrical codes and standards. Engage with Minneapolis-based industrial forums and workshops to stay ahead of regional technological advancements.

Required Qualifications

Advanced certification in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, with demonstrated experience in industrial networking protocols like EtherNet/IP and Profibus. Expertise in VFD programming and troubleshooting and proficiency with thermal imaging and vibration analysis equipment. Ability to read and create AutoCAD electrical drawings and experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming. Proven leadership skills in a maintenance environment and understanding of IEEE standards for industrial power quality. 5+ years of experience required for Journeyman work in an industrial setting. Familiarity with Minneapolis’s electrical infrastructure and local industry trends is essential to thrive in this role.
