Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cutting-edge commercial security systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Program access control and surveillance equipment to meet enterprise-level standards.
• Configure IP camera networks and VLANs, integrating cybersecurity measures for robust protection.
• Manage credential databases and coordinate closely with IT teams to ensure seamless network integration.
• Supervise the installation of biometric devices, enhancing security measures.
• Perform proactive system health monitoring, maintaining detailed records and documentation.
• Train end users on the latest security platforms, empowering them with the knowledge to maintain security integrity.
• Integrate security systems with building automation systems for holistic management.
• Collaborate on regional projects, such as the upcoming Lincoln Business Park expansion, which requires innovative security solutions.
• Adhere to Nebraska’s regional safety and installation standards, ensuring compliance in all aspects of work.

Required Qualifications

• Security+ certification preferred, with extensive experience using VMS platforms and access control systems.
• Proven expertise in IP networking and advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols.
• Certification in security system programming with strong IT and database management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise security architecture.
• Clean background check required for government clearance eligibility.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Commercial setting, particularly in a Journeyman capacity.
• Familiarity with Nebraska’s building codes and security regulations.
• Ability to work on projects that may require after-hours support, adapting to the needs of the Lincoln area.
