Commercial Electrician at Enhanced Voice & Data

Enhanced Voice & Data is seeking a dedicated Commercial Security Systems Specialist to join our team in Amarillo, TX. This role involves designing and implementing enterprise-level integrated security solutions across Amarillo and neighboring cities such as Canyon, Hereford, and Pampa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complete security infrastructure, including surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems. The position requires expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity, and system programming, with the ability to manage and coordinate complex security solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain commercial security systems, including programming access control and surveillance equipment.
• Configure IP camera networks and VLANs, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures for security networks.
• Manage credential databases and coordinate with IT teams for seamless network integration.
• Supervise the installation of biometric devices and perform regular system health monitoring.
• Document system configurations and provide training to end users on security platforms.
• Maintain detailed testing records and integrate security systems with building automation systems.
• Address regional requirements for Texas, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Work on a significant upcoming project in Amarillo, TX, such as the anticipated development at the Amarillo Civic Center.
• Provide after-hours support and maintenance during designated windows.
• Perform physical tasks, including ladder work, cable installation, and equipment mounting.

Required Qualifications

• Security+ certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with Video Management System (VMS) platforms.
• Proven expertise in access control systems and demonstrated ability with IP networking.
• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and certification in security system programming.
• Strong IT and database management skills, with experience in enterprise security architecture.
• Clean background check required.
• 3-5 years of experience required for Journeyman work in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with Amarillo-specific security regulations and procedures.
• Experience working on large-scale projects in the Amarillo area.
