Position Overview at Convergint
The Security Systems Tech at Convergint will focus on projects within educational institutions in Milwaukee, WI, and neighboring cities. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, ensuring that all systems are functional and up to date. The ideal candidate will work closely with educational clients to assess their needs and deliver tailored security solutions.
Essential Functions for Security Systems Tech
- Install and configure security systems including cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for security improvements.
- Document all service and installation activities accurately.
Required Qualifications for Security Systems Tech at Convergint
- 2-5 years of experience in security systems installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Axis Certification.
- Experience with Lenel OnGuard and Genetec Security Center systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work in various environments including heights and confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: AMAG Certification.
- Experience with Axis Camera Station software.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in security system installations.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Milwaukee, WI.
- Additional locations: Wauwatosa, West Allis, Waukesha, Brookfield, and other surrounding cities.
- Schedule: Full-time, with occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $29.3-$34.93 per hour.
