Your work will be the backbone of ensuring that our clients receive reliable and efficiently wound electric motors. Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to rewinding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electric motors, ensuring they operate at optimal performance. Your Daily Tasks as an Electric Motor Winder

You’ll start your day by evaluating the condition of electric motors to determine the best course of action for repair or rewinding. Your main tasks will include:

  • Rewinding 3-Phase Form Coil and Random Wound Stators: You’ll meticulously rewind motors to ensure they are up to standard.
  • Rewinding DC Armatures and Fields: Apply your skills to handle these components with care and precision.
  • Using Electrical Test Equipment: You’ll regularly use surge testers, low resistance bridges, and multimeters to assess and verify the electrical integrity of motors.

In addition to these tasks, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing Motor Failures: Identify issues and provide solutions to get motors back in working order.
  • Maintaining Work Records: Keep detailed logs of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each project.
  • Collaborating with Team Members: Work closely with other winders and technicians to share insights and improve processes.

What You Need to Be an Electric Motor Winder

To thrive in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in the field as an Electric Motor Winder. Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Tools: Must bring your own basic hand tools; we provide testing equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work extended hours when necessary.
