Key Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs to ensure optimal performance of automation systems.
• Commission automated production lines across various manufacturing sectors, adapting processes to meet specific client needs.
• Perform root cause analysis on system failures to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement predictive maintenance programs using advanced technologies such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging.
• Design and install complex motor control circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage and maintain the electrical spare parts inventory to guarantee availability and reduce lead times.
• Train apprentices on industrial systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for complex repairs, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues.
• Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks to promote consistency and safety.
• Perform power quality analysis and harmonic mitigation to optimize electrical distribution systems.
• Collaborate with local utility companies and comply with Missouri-specific electrical codes and regulations.
• Engage with regional manufacturing networks to stay abreast of industry trends and technologies.
• Address unique environmental and regulatory challenges in the Springfield area, such as compliance with local EPA guidelines.
• Provide guidance on electrical safety practices specific to the region, including tornado preparedness and response.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced certification in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
• Demonstrated experience with industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP and Profibus.
• Expertise in VFD programming and troubleshooting to ensure efficient motor control.
• Proficiency with thermal imaging and vibration analysis equipment for predictive maintenance purposes.
• Ability to read and create AutoCAD electrical drawings, facilitating effective communication and project execution.
• Experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming to enhance user interfaces and system monitoring.
• Proven leadership skills in a maintenance environment, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Understanding of IEEE standards for industrial power quality, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
• 5+ years of experience required for Journeyman work in an industrial setting, showcasing a solid foundation of practical skills.
• Familiarity with Springfield’s industrial landscape and local regulatory requirements.

• Knowledge of Missouri’s climate impact on manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.
