Job Description:

AVI SPL, global leaders in communications and audio visual technology for over 40 years, is looking to hire an experienced Fire Alarm Installer in Scottsdale, AZ. The chosen candidate will have a solid background in installing and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, sprinklers, and alarm systems for new construction and retrofit projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and maintain commercial fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, sprinklers, and alarm systems in both new and retrofit construction projects.
2. Conduct regular diagnostic tests on installed systems and provide prompt troubleshooting and repair solutions.
3. Understand and work within Scottsdale’s unique climate conditions, ensuring systems are resilient and reliable in both extreme heat and potential flash flooding conditions.
4. Assist in designing and implementing custom fire alarm solutions for individual client needs.
5. Work on projects in surrounding areas as directed.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 4-7 years of experience installing and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems.
2. Current certification as a Fire Alarm Installer issued by the State of Arizona or NICET.
3. Knowledge of local, state, and federal fire alarm and electrical codes.
4. Experience with low voltage electrical systems is critical.
5. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized fire alarm system installation equipment.
6. A strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols, particularly those relevant to the Arizona region, are a must.
