Cable Tech Lead at AVI SPL

Position Overview

AVI SPL is seeking for a dynamic, experienced Cable Tech Lead for our Millbrae, CA location. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest of standards. Working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, medical centers, and clinics, the candidate is expected to apply their expertise in cable technology. Significant traveling is involved to cater to needs in nearby major cities within California.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team of 4-6 technicians, providing guidance, and ensuring consistency in the quality of work.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting cable technology systems in a healthcare environment.
• Regular travel to nearby major cities to accommodate client needs.
• Interacting with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a similar role. Prior experience in healthcare environments is a plus.
• Certifications in Network+ and RCDD.
• Proficiency in using tools and technology such as Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, Cable Certification, Network Analysis.
• Ability to work the first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience as a lead in cable technology sector.
• Additional certifications (Network+, RCDD) will be a valuable asset.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, and a knack for troubleshooting.
