Position Overview at 3D Communications

The AV Systems Tech at 3D Communications is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems in educational institutions located in Sunnyvale, CA, and neighboring cities. This role involves direct interaction with clients to ensure systems meet their specific needs and operate effectively. The AV Systems Tech will work closely with project managers and other technical staff to deliver high-quality AV solutions.

Essential Functions for AV Systems Tech

• Install, configure, and maintain AV systems, including projectors, displays, audio processors, and control systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project scope and timelines.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Document installation processes and system configurations for future reference.
• Participate in project planning meetings and site surveys to assess technical requirements.

Required Qualifications for AV Systems Tech at 3D Communications

• 3-5 years of experience in AV system installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Installation.
• Proficiency in working with QSC Q-SYS and Biamp Audio Systems.
• Ability to lift and move heavy AV equipment as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Crestron Certification.
• Advanced experience with QSC Q-SYS systems.
• Specialized experience in AV solutions for educational institutions.
• Proficiency with AV installation tools and diagnostic equipment.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Sunnyvale, CA
• Additional locations: Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, San Jose, Cupertino
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as needed for project deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.39-$36.59 per hour
