Position Overview at Wisetel
As a Cable Technician at Wisetel, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems within office buildings in Fountain, CO, and surrounding areas. You will ensure that all installations meet industry standards and customer requirements while working closely with a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional service.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems in office building environments.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine cable routing and installation requirements.
- Utilize termination equipment and wire mapping tools to ensure accurate and efficient cable connections.
- Collaborate with project managers to execute cable installation plans and timelines.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure cable system integrity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cable system issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Wisetel
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Proficiency with termination equipment and wire mapping tools.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Network+ Certification.
- Experience with punch down tools.
- Specialized experience in structured cabling for office buildings.
- Proficiency in using cable testing and verification tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Fountain, CO
- Additional locations: Colorado Springs, Security-Widefield, Pueblo, and other neighboring cities.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.26-$32.14 per hour
