Position Overview at WiLine
As a Cable Technician for WiLine in Longmont, CO, you will play a crucial role in supporting educational institutions by installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems. You will work closely with schools and universities in Longmont and neighboring cities to ensure seamless connectivity and high-quality service delivery.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems in educational institutions.
- Perform regular inspections and tests to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and institution staff to plan and execute cable installations.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Respond to service calls and resolve connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at WiLine
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Experience with Fiber Optic Tools and Cable Management Systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Experience with Cable Testers and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to cable installation.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Longmont, CO.
- Additional locations: Boulder, Loveland, Fort Collins, and Broomfield.
- Schedule: Full-time, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.84-$32.57 per hour.
