Position Overview at Vision Technologies
The Low Voltage Cable Technician will play a crucial role in supporting educational institutions in Louisville, CO, and neighboring cities. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling systems, ensuring effective communication and network connectivity for our clients in the education sector.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems for data, voice, and video applications.
- Perform daily tasks such as site surveys, cable routing, and documentation of work performed.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues to maintain optimal network performance.
- Adhere to safety standards and company protocols during all installations and repairs.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at Vision Technologies
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: OSHA 10.
- Proficiency in using wire mapping tools and punch down tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Advanced experience with wire mapping tools.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in cabling installation.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Louisville, CO.
- Additional locations: Boulder, Broomfield, Lafayette, Superior, and Longmont.
- Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.07-$32.58 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
