Position Overview at Vision Technologies
The Low Voltage Cable Technician will play a critical role in supporting educational institution projects in Commerce, GA, and surrounding areas. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling systems to ensure efficient and reliable communication networks.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage cabling systems including data, voice, and video networks.
- Perform daily inspections and testing to ensure system integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Document installation processes and update project records as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network issues at educational institutions.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at Vision Technologies
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling or a related field.
- Certification: OSHA 10.
- Experience with Cable Testers and Wire Mapping Tools.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Experience with Cable Management Systems.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in cabling installations.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Commerce, GA.
- Additional locations: Athens, Gainesville, Lawrenceville, and other neighboring cities.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.83-$33.82 per hour.
