Position Overview at Vision Technologies

In the role of Cable Tech at Vision Technologies, you will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems in office buildings located in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and neighboring cities. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to our clients.

Requirements for Cable Tech

Key Responsibilities for Cable Tech at Vision Technologies

• Install, test, and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure in office settings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project success.

Low Voltage Cabling Installation

• Install and terminate various types of low voltage cables, including CAT 5e, CAT 6, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform cable pulls and routing through conduits, ceilings, and walls.
• Label and document all cables accurately for future reference.

Tool Proficiency for Daily Tasks

• Proficient use of hand tools and power tools specific to cabling tasks.
• Experience with cable testers and certification tools.
• Ability to use wire mapping tools for accurate installations.

Daily Tasks

• Conduct site surveys and assessments before installation.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Provide regular updates and feedback to supervisors and project managers.

Project Involvement

• Participate in planning and execution of office building cabling projects.
• Work closely with clients to address any specific needs or concerns.
• Assist in the development of project timelines and resource allocation.

Qualifications for Cable Tech at Vision Technologies

• 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
• Experience with wire mapping tools and cable testers.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
• Experience with termination equipment and advanced cabling techniques.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: South Lake Tahoe, CA.
• Additional locations: Stateline, NV; Truckee, CA; Incline Village, NV; Carson City, NV.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project demands.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $23.92-$29.81 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
