Overview of the Project Management Fire Alarm Designer Role

As a Project Management Fire Alarm Designer at Valley Alarm, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and reliability of our fire alarm systems. This role is pivotal in designing, coordinating, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems across diverse projects, including new constructions, tenant improvements, and renovations. You will work closely with our project management team to deliver seamless and efficient solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop fire alarm systems for various project types, including new constructions, tenant improvements, and renovations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet all required specifications and codes.
  • Oversee the installation and testing of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 25 standards.
  • Utilize fire alarm software to create detailed system plans and configurations.
  • Conduct regular testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems using specialized testing equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and clients.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

• Required Certifications:

  • NFPA 70
  • NFPA 25

• Experience With:

  • Fire Alarm Software
  • Fire Alarm Testing Equipment
  • Fire Alarm Design Software

• Typical Projects:

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience, specifically in fire alarm design and implementation.

• Licenses:

  • Valid electrical license for NV.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Fire Alarm Software and Fire Alarm Testing Equipment.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various environments including construction sites and existing buildings.

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to fire alarm systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Fire Alarm Design Software.

• Project Management Experience:

  • Experience in managing and coordinating fire alarm projects from inception to completion.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range:

  • $40.97-$48 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
