Role Overview

The Commercial Data Center Technician at Tri City Electric plays a crucial role in supporting our commercial projects by maintaining and optimizing data center operations. This position involves working in dynamic environments and requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of data centers, supporting infrastructure, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Requirements for Commercial Data Center Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center equipment and systems for commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal data center performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to design and implement data center solutions tailored to client needs.
• Monitor environmental conditions and utilize environmental monitoring tools to maintain data center efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while performing all job functions.
• Document and report on data center operations, maintenance activities, and any issues or incidents.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and other team members as needed.

Required Certifications and Experience

• First Aid/CPR Certification
• CompTIA Server+ Certification
• 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial environment.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Texas.
• Experience with BICSI DC Certification and Environmental Monitoring Tools.
• Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and materials.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a data center environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with lift certification.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects, particularly in settings such as office buildings and hospitals.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Georgetown, TX
• Neighboring Cities: Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, and Liberty Hill.
• Schedule: Full-time position with opportunities for overtime as needed.
