Join TR Group as a Data Center Cable Technician in Garland, TX, where you will play a critical role in the installation and management of structured cabling systems. This position will require work in Garland and surrounding cities such as Richardson, Plano, and Mesquite. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards in cable management and termination, contributing to the smooth operation of data centers in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and dress Category 6/6A cabling systems
• Terminate copper and fiber connections
• Maintain proper cable management in server racks
• Install overhead cable tray and ladder rack
• Perform cable testing and certification
• Document test results and warranties
• Maintain clean room protocols
• Organize patch panel layouts
• Implement proper cable routing and separation
• Assist with fiber trunk installation
• Maintain detailed labeling systems
• Coordinate with local teams for city-specific regulations
• Prepare for large-scale project: Garland Tech Hub Initiative

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 preferred
• Experience with structured cabling systems
• Proficiency in cable termination techniques
• Knowledge of testing procedures
• Understanding of cable management best practices
• Ability to read network drawings
• Experience with labeling systems
• Attention to detail
• Basic understanding of network hardware
• 1-3 years of experience required for Voice Data work in Commercial settings
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Garland
• Familiarity with regional infrastructure projects
