Controls Technician at TR Group

Join the TR Group, an industry-leading organization in Grand Rapids, MI, as a Controls Technician. We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented professional who is an expert in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and industrial networking protocols. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and SCADA systems to contribute to our ongoing projects. If you have an Associates/Technical degree, vendor certifications (Rockwell, Siemens), OSHA-30, and a knack for troubleshooting control systems, then we want to hear from you.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Technician.
• Expertise in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
• Proficiency in HMI development and industrial networking protocols.
• Experience with VFDs and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Associates or Technical degree in a relevant field.
• Vendor certifications (Rockwell, Siemens).
• OSHA-30 certification.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Ability to troubleshoot control systems and create documentation.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of industrial automation.
• Field experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with robotics systems.

This role is based in Grand Rapids, MI. Nearby cities include Walker, Wyoming, Kentwood, and East Grand Rapids.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $29.97-$40.12 per hour, depending on experience and skills. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k match, and generous paid time off.
