Position Overview at Teleco
As a Fire Alarm Technician at Teleco, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of healthcare facilities in Austin, TX, and surrounding areas. The position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to our healthcare clients.
Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support and training to facility staff on the operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Document all service and installation activities accurately and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at Teleco
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Simplex 4100 Certification.
- Experience with Fire-Lite Systems and Edwards EST Systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and climbing ladders, as required by the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: OSHA 10.
- Experience with Silent Knight Systems.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility projects.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment related to fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Austin, TX.
- Additional locations: Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, and Georgetown.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.21-$33.34 per hour.
