Key Responsibilities

• Install and dress Category 6/6A cabling systems efficiently.
• Terminate copper and fiber connections with precision.
• Maintain proper cable management in server racks.
• Install overhead cable tray and ladder rack systems.
• Perform comprehensive cable testing and certification.
• Document test results, warranties, and maintain records.
• Implement and follow strict clean room protocols.
• Organize patch panel layouts for optimal performance.
• Implement proper cable routing and separation standards.
• Assist with installing fiber trunk lines and related infrastructure.
• Maintain a detailed and accurate labeling system for all installations.
• Conduct site surveys and provide input for infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Texas-specific electrical and building codes.
• Participate in the upcoming ‘Tech Expansion 2024’ project in Sugar Land, focused on upgrading local data center facilities.

Required Qualifications

• BICSI Installer 1 certification is preferred.
• Experience with structured cabling systems and network hardware.
• Proficiency in cable termination techniques and testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of cable management and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret network drawings accurately.
• Experience with detailed labeling systems and documentation.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• 1-3 years of experience required in voice and data work within a commercial environment.
• Familiarity with local building and safety regulations in Sugar Land.
• Residency near Sugar Land for easy access to off-hours projects.
