Position Overview

We at Telco Data are searching for a diligent Security Tech to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. The suitable candidate will have a profound understanding of the intricacies involved in maintaining a secure data environment in a government setting. With a work schedule within standard business hours, the candidate will handle various cybersecurity aspects across multiple government project teams, including federal agencies, state offices, and military facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain security of Intrusion Detection, CCTV, IP Camera Systems, and Access Control Systems
• Collaborate efficiently across multiple project teams
• Respond quickly to security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines
• Assure all technical equipment is operational and optimally functioning
• Travel within a 30-mile radius for onsite support and incident response

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, specifically government environments
• Must hold NICET Level II and Security+ Certifications
• Hands-on experience with Intrusion Detection systems, CCTV, IP Camera Systems, and Access Control systems
• Proven track record of managing security on multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• ASIS PSP certification will be highly advantageous
• Familiarity with the local Silver Spring security landscape
• Previous experience in a government project team

• Clients predominantly include local and federal government offices but may extend to military facilities
