Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cable Tech Team Lead to join our regional team of over 10 professionals here at Telco Data in Yonkers, NY. As a part of our healthcare-focused team, you will work primarily in hospitals, medical centers, and clinics within a 30-mile radius of our base. Our work schedule revolves around the second shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. In this role, your expertise in Fluke Networks, Cable Certification, Network Analysis, and OTDR Testing will be crucial to our operations and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of cable technicians
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of cable systems
- Oversee network analysis and carry out OTDR testing
- Assist in planning and implementing complex projects within deadlines
- Coordinate with other team leads and management for smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all operations
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cable technology
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Network + certification
- Proficiency in Fluke Networks, Cable Certification, Network Analysis, and OTDR Testing
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Technician certification
- Advanced Cisco CCNA certification
Local Market Details
- Familiarity with Yonkers and surrounding areas for efficient deployment to sites
- Experience working within healthcare environments like hospitals, medical centers, etc., within Yonkers
- Knowledge of specific regional considerations, including building codes and healthcare facility needs
