Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data
Position Overview
Telco Data is seeking an experienced Cable Tech Team Lead to lead our dynamic team in Somerville, MA. In this pivotal role, you’ll help connect our federal agencies, state offices, and military facilities clients by planning, directing, and coordinating the installation of telecom systems. You will be overseeing a team of 4-6 technicians, ensuring tasks are carried out effectively and within schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct a team of 4-6 technicians for complex telecom projects
- Plan, monitor, and appraise team performance
- Liaise with clients to interpret and implement project requirements
- Conduct training sessions to the team and contribute towards their professional development
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations
- Assure quality and timely completion of projects
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a Cable Technician or a similar role
- Valid RCDD and Cisco CCNA certifications
- Extensive knowledge of Cable Certification, Network Analysis, OTDR Testing, Fluke Networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to travel within 30 miles of home base
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Technician and Network+ certifications
- Previous experience working with government clients
