Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data

Position Overview

Telco Data is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cable Tech Team Lead for our operations based in Newton, MA. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our engagement with government clients including federal agencies, state offices, and military facilities. You will oversee the performance of a talented team of 4-6 technicians, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and client satisfaction. Your schedule will be the first shift, running from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and your work area will cover a radius of up to 100 miles from our Newton office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of 4-6 technicians to meet project objectives and timelines
• Supervise and perform installations of data cable of various types and sizes
• Use diagnostic tools such as Fluke Networks, Network Analysis, and OTDR Testing for troubleshooting and maintenance
• Assure quality of work meets industry standards such as Network+, RCDD, and BICSI Technician requirements
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols at all times
• Liaise effectively with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Certifications in Network+ and RCDD
• Proficient knowledge and usage of Fluke Networks, Network Analysis, and OTDR Testing
• Proven track record of leading a team in a similar environment
• Availability to travel within a 100-mile radius

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Technician certification
• Cisco CCNA certification
• Prior experience working within government facilities
