PLC Technician Position Overview
At Tech Electronics in Altamonte Springs, FL, we’re urgently seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join our team for long-term projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient installation, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC and DDC control systems. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing system performance and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Qualifications for PLC Technician
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a PLC Technician.
- Proficient in Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, or similar platforms like Inductive Automation Ignition or ICONICS.
- Strong command of HVAC control theory, electronics, and electrical circuit troubleshooting.
Responsibilities for PLC Technician
Lead the commissioning and startup of control systems, ensuring integration and reliable performance. Collaborate with engineers and clients to address automation challenges and deliver quality solutions. Maintain detailed project documentation and system records. Provide on-site technical leadership, guiding subcontractors and ensuring quality control. Travel to client sites as needed (up to 30%) to oversee project implementation and assure operational success.
