Key Responsibilities

• Design and install complete electrical systems for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with regional energy codes and safety standards.
• Calculate load requirements to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
• Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of electrical designs.
• Supervise installation crews, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Implement advanced lighting control systems to enhance energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Manage project material logistics, ensuring timely availability of resources to avoid project delays.
• Perform meticulous system commissioning to ensure all electrical systems function correctly and meet design specifications.
• Install and maintain emergency power systems, guaranteeing reliability during critical times.
• Coordinate effectively with mechanical trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall building infrastructure.
• Program building automation interfaces to enhance system interoperability and user control.
• Mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
• Develop and implement strategies for waste reduction and energy conservation specific to the Abilene area.
• Stay updated with Texas state regulations regarding electrical installations and safety requirements.
• Contribute to the upcoming Abilene Downtown Revitalization Project by ensuring electrical systems are designed and installed to support the community’s growth.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman electrical license.
• Demonstrated experience with BIM coordination and its application in commercial projects.
• Expertise in lighting controls and their integration into building systems.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
• Certification for operating various lift types, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on team collaboration and problem-solving.
• Comprehensive knowledge of energy codes and their application in large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with building automation systems and their role in modern construction.
• Demonstrated safety management skills, with an emphasis on OSHA compliance.
• 0-3 years of experience required in a commercial setting, suitable for apprenticeship.
• Familiarity with local construction practices and building codes in the Abilene area.
• Ability to travel between sites across Abilene, Sweetwater, Clyde, and Baird as needed for project requirements.
